PHASE II REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION DEADLINE - APRIL 1ST

ABOUT

OFSEA is excited to present a provincial Minecraft Design Challenge for Grades 5 to 8 and open to all elementary schools in Ontario! 

EVENT STRUCTURE

Teams will have until April 29th to brainstorm, research, build and submit their solution to the Minecraft challenge.

Teams will create and submit a 5-minute video explanation of their design, their process, etc.  The top finishing teams will advance to the finals, which will be announced at a later date.

CHALLENGE THEME

This year's Provincial Minecraft Design Challenge theme is: CYBERSECURITY!

​

Your challenge is to research and learn about cybersecurity, and then design and build a Cybersecurity Training Facility in Minecraft that will teach others about what you have learned.

​

The official coach's guide and challenge document is available to registered teams.

REGISTRATION

Schools may register as many teams as they'd like provided a coach is able to monitor and support their progress.  Participation is FREE; however, coaches must be registered OFSEA members. (There is no cost for OFSEA membership).

Phase II Registration closes 11:59 PM EST on Saturday, 1 April 2023.

Teams consist of 4 or 5 players and one coach.  A coach must be a registered faculty member at a publicly funded Ontario school and may have more than one team.  Coaches will need to complete a registration form for each team that will be participating.
